Life Transitions Grief Recovery
Sometimes nothing has gone terribly wrong—and life still no longer looks like the life you knew.
A major transition can bring relief, possibility, uncertainty, sadness, or grief for what has ended. You do not have to wish the change had never happened to acknowledge what it cost.
Grief Recovery After Life Transitions is a small, private online group for women living with the grief and uncertainty that can accompany a significant change in life, identity, or role.
You may be navigating retirement, an empty nest, relocation, a career change, changes in family roles, the end of caregiving, a major financial or household transition, or another experience that has created a clear before and after in your life.
Some transitions are chosen.
Some are imposed.
Some are long anticipated.
Some arrive without warning.
And some are things you wanted very much—yet still involve losses you did not expect.
Using the Grief Recovery Method, we will work with the emotional incompleteness connected to what has changed so you can acknowledge what mattered, what was lost, and what remains unfinished without requiring yourself to return to the person or life you were before.

What the Group Offers
This group offers a structured, supportive place to:
-
Recognize the losses contained within a major life transition
-
Explore the relationship between change, grief, identity, and expectations
-
Acknowledge both what you miss and what you may be relieved to leave behind
-
Identify emotional experiences that remain unfinished
-
Work through the Grief Recovery Method in a small, private group
-
Begin making room for the life that is here now without diminishing the life that came before
You do not need to decide whether the transition was “good” or “bad.”
Something can be right for your life and still contain something worth grieving.
What to Expect
This is not a group about reinventing yourself, finding your new purpose, or creating a five-year plan before you've figured out where you put the coffee maker. It is also not a place where you will be told that change happens for a reason or that every ending is secretly a new beginning.
We will work with what is actually true.
Something changed.
Something may have ended.
Something may have begun.
And you may have feelings about all of it.
The Grief Recovery Method provides a structured process for identifying and completing what remains emotionally unfinished. You will be invited to participate honestly while maintaining your privacy and deciding for yourself what you wish to share. There is no requirement to perform optimism. And there is no requirement to remain sad in order to prove that what came before mattered.
Not Ready for a Group Yet?
You may not even be certain that what you're experiencing is grief. That's okay. This 12-part series explores some of the less visible losses that can accompany major life transitions—and what it can mean to make room for what is here now without requiring yourself to erase what came before.
