Relationship Loss
Some relationships end through death.
Others through divorce, estrangement, betrayal, separation, or circumstances you never expected.
However the relationship changed, you may be left carrying more than the loss itself: unanswered questions, unfinished conversations, changed roles, disrupted trust, and a future that no longer looks the way you expected.
You don't have to minimize what happened in order to begin living beyond it.
Group Information
Grief Recovery After Relationship Loss is a small, private online group for women living with the loss or significant change of an important relationship.
Your loss may involve:
-
divorce or the end of a partnership
-
estrangement from an adult child or other family member
-
the death of someone important
-
betrayal or a significant rupture in a relationship
-
the loss of a close friendship
-
separation from someone who remains living but is no longer part of your life
-
another relationship ending that has left grief or unfinished emotional business
Your loss may be recent.
Or years may have passed.
You do not have to decide whether your loss is “serious enough” to belong here.
If the relationship mattered, its loss can matter too.

What the Group Offers
Relationship loss can leave more than sadness.
There may be anger. Relief. Regret. Betrayal. Guilt.
Questions.
Things you wish you had said. Things you wish you had never said. Things you still do not understand. And sometimes a persistent feeling that part of your life remains organized around a relationship that is no longer functioning as it once did.
This group uses the structured Grief Recovery Method(r) to help you examine the relationship honestly, identify what remains emotionally unfinished, and take concrete steps toward completion.
The goal is not to erase the relationship. It is not to decide that everything happened for a reason.
It is not to forgive someone who harmed you because someone else thinks you should.
And it is not to “move on” as though the relationship did not matter.
It is to become less burdened by what remains unfinished so that the relationship no longer has to organize so much of your present life.
What to Expect
This is an educational, action-based grief recovery program rather than therapy or an open-ended support group.
Over the course of the program, you will be guided through a structured process that includes reading, reflection, written exercises, and specific Grief Recovery Method activities between meetings.
You do not need to tell your entire story to participate. You choose what you share.
Sessions are not recorded, cameras are optional, and privacy is taken seriously.
Because participants may be grieving different kinds of relationships, the details of each story will differ. The work underneath them often has something in common:
Something mattered.
Something changed or ended.
And something may remain unfinished.
We begin there.
Not Ready for a Group Yet?
You don't need to decide today.
The following 12-part series explores what can happen when an important relationship ends or changes—whether through divorce, estrangement, betrayal, separation, or another kind of rupture.
The circumstances differ.
But many of us eventually face a similar question:
How do I honor what mattered, tell the truth about what happened, and become increasingly available to the life that is still here?
